Yahtzee is a great dice game that relies mostly on luck. However it is not all luck. There are a few things you can do to increase your chances of winning and here they are.
1. Don't Waste Chance early
Anything can be put in chance so you don't want to get rid of that space too early. If you rolled something that you can put somewhere else on the board put it there. Save the chance for rolls you can't use somewhere else.
You want to concentrate on filling in the upper section of your sheet first. Remember if you get a total of 63 points or higher in the upper section you get a 35 point bonus which is always nice.
3. Bad Rolls
Bad Rolls happen. If it happens to you try to put it in your chance box. If your chance box is already full put a 0 in one of your yahtzee boxes or some other box that may be hard to get.
4. Try For Yahtzee with High Numbers
If you go for yahtzee with high numbers and miss you might be able to use it somewhere else, such as chance or in the upper section and still get some good points for it.
5. Go For The Second Yahtzee
The odds are against you that you will get a second yahtzee but that doesn't mean you shouldn't try. You get a 100 point bonus when you get another Yahtzee so try to get as many as you can. If you miss you can always fill in your points as something else.
6. Lucks involved too
This is a game of luck, so bring your lucky rabbits foot, or yell out what you want to roll, it can't hurt.
