Having a family game night when you have a bunch of little kids can be a great way to keep them entertained. But what do you look for when trying to find a game that both you and your kids will enjoy?

Well the best little kid games are

1. Simple

You don't want to confuse your kids by giving them an extremely complicated game. They might not understand it and might be bored because of it. Think about if you were playing a game and you had no clue what was going on. I don't think you would enjoy it that much.

2. Fun For Everyone

The game should be fun for everyone to play. Whatever game you play should be fun for anyone in between the ages of 5 and 500, that is if you can find someone who is 500 years old. Basically it should be a game that everyone can get into. Those will often work the best.

3. Allow for Competition

No one likes a game where everyone's a winner. It should have some form of competition in it. Your kids will love trying to beat the grownups and prove that they are special. It also gives kids a sense of competition which will become more important when they grow older.

4. Allow for creativity

Little kids love to use their imaginations. Any game that allows them to be creative, such as make up their own story about why the ants are hopping in the pants or why the hippos are so hungry will let them get into it.

In the end the game you play probably doesn't matter that much. What is important is that you are spending time with your kids and not just pushing them aside. Remember the "Cats in the Cradle" song family is important.
